In 1998 I began my career in travel working for a cruise-specialty agency in downtown Portland, Oregon and founded KP Trips in 2011. 

I am a one-man agency; customer service is my specialty, and getting to know my clients as individuals and creating the cruise vacation they want is my focus. 

Experience Matters - I have been a travel advisor for over 25 years and I have seen the industry grow and change. I know the ins & outs of cruising, but a vacation is more than the ship. I handle the airfare to get you to and from the ship, hotels before and/or after the cruise and can even discuss what to see in the ports the ship visits. 

Internet + Me - You can book a cruise online but are you choosing the right cruise line for you? Cruise lines have different features, multiple versions of similar itineraries, and different policies. I will listen to you and learn what you want out of your vacation. More importantly I’m here for you before you book, after your book, while you're cruising and will want to hear about your trip when you are home again. 

I Take My Job Seriously - Yes, it's a fun business, I book vacations! But I take my job seriously; I am an Accredited Cruise Counselor from C.L.I.A., the industry's trade association. I am enrolled in the education programs of the cruise lines I sell, I attend cruise line webinars, industry events and stay current with the developments travel industry through industry newsletters, interviews and cruise line updates. In August 2023 I joined the Western Association of Travel Agencies (WESTA) a group of independent travel agencies to network and promote professionalism and integrity in the retail travel industry.
